Scoozi Caffe Bar, Adelaide

The food at Scoozi is decent but I always get the same thing – penne pasta tossed with bacon, chicken, semi-dried tomatoes and broccoli in a light cream sauce. Instead of penne I request tagliatelle :) Tastes alright but I can’t taste the flavour of the sauce that much anymore, sometimes I just feel like I’m only eating pasta. Scoozi’s is no Amalfi’s, I would just pay the extra $2 to go there instead.

I am not a fan at all of Scoozi’s booking system, it is absolutely terrible. You have to pay $5 per person that doesn’t rock up, hence I made a booking for the confirmed peeps for my farewell party. I called the day before to increase the booking size but the chick was like: “oh we’ve reached maximum capacity for bookings with the liquor licensing law blah blah blah.”

What happened on my farewell dinner – I got a high fever and was in bed sleeping, only waking up to make my way to the restaurant. I couldn’t cancel because if I did I would be paying them so much money for some bs rule. It was just easier to go to my farewell with my fever and sit in silence eating my food. I can see the reason for why they have the $5 policy incase someone flakes out, but for someone like me that had a legitimate reason it was just total crap. Also, upon arriving I saw at least 10 seats available from other huge tables that no one was sitting on, fully reached max capacity my ass.

Scoozi service has never been good, probably one of the worst services I have ever experienced. Once when I went with my uni friends they didn’t serve us until an hr later, we actually saw people who were suited up, coming  in much later than us get served first. We pay the same price as everyone else, yet get judged and looked down upon because we are uni students. They really can suck it because over the years my visits have dwindled to zero.
